Guild Guitars just announced the launch of the Starfire I-12 electric guitar, adding to its iconic Starfire I family. Guild is known as a defining brand in 12-string guitars and the Starfire I-12 is no exception.

The Starfire I-12 (MSRP $649) features a semi-hollow arched mahogany body and center block for increased sustain and chime. The modern thin “U” neck allows for fast and smooth playing and provides easy access to all 22 frets. The Starfire I-12 comes complete with premium pickups and in a beautiful transparent cherry red finish.

It comes equipped with Guild HB-2 humbuckers for rich and vintage tones using Alnico II magnets, the perfect sonic platform for rock, R&B, and every genre in between. The Guild HB-2 humbuckers also feature coil-splitting using the push/pull volume knobs for a variety of tonal options and the Tune-O-Matic bridge provides stable tuning and easy adjustability while the stop bar tailpiece ensures solid intonation.

Established in 1953, Guild is one of the world’s historic guitar manufacturers with a long-standing reputation for building iconic musical instruments. From the New York jazz scene in the 1950s, Richie Havens’ legendary performance at Woodstock, to Seattle’s Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Guild guitars helped create some of the greatest music in history. With a tradition built on old world
craftsmanship, quality, and value, Guild guitars have always been made to be played. In 2014, Guild was acquired by Cordoba Music Group from Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
